Time Flies...

I can't believe how fast the summer is going. It'll be over before we know it and our Love Bug will be 2 years old! I know, it's still a couple of months away but it feels like only yesterday we were bringing her home for the first time. She's been having a good summer and bringing us lots of smiles. We've had family visits, went to the Botanical Gardens and got some new swimming gear...okay, the latter was more for mom and dad's amusement. Hope the remainder of the summer is as much fun.

Easter and Other April Fun...

Hello to all and Happy Easter! We're having a great spring. Love Bug is getting to be such a big girl with so much personality. She knows what she wants when she wants it, much like someone else I know! She's also becoming quite the little clown and has really grown to love Pearl, much to Pearl's delight/dismay--depends on how Love Bug chooses to express her affection. Hope you enjoy the latest pictures. Some of these were taken on a day Love Bug spent with Dada--when the cat's away the mice will play!

Fun at the Park

One of the perks of living in the "South" is our frequent unseasonably warm temps. We're always sure to take advantage of those days. On this particular day we went to the park to see the ducks and geese, swing and just be silly. We also had a visit from Mema and Papa recently. We enjoyed spending time with them. Spring Fever!

Since Christmas it seems like we're either battling a cold or some other virus. Today is gorgeous outside and tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice. We took the opportunity to get outside and get some fresh, germ-free air. Come on spring!

Christmas and Sickness...oh my!

So, you know that old saying about the best laid plans? That was our Christmas. Poor Love Bug has been sick for over a week now with a nasty virus. It's her first such illness and one thing is clear, she doesn't take it well! Mom and Dad wound up getting it too and we're all still trying to get better. Unfortunately, we had to cut our visit with family short but had to do what was best for our little one. When you're sick, there's no place like home. Thank goodness Love Bug won't remember this Christmas. I'm going to post a pic or two but they're not the greatest given the circumstances. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Holiday Season and Another Family Member?

So we've recently taken in a female Jack Russell in need of a home. She's 2 years old, housebroken, smart, energetic, sweet and absolutely terrified of D. It's as though he's Freddy Kreuger. We don't know why but she won't even be on the same floor of the house. This is not good. We keep hoping she'll come around. According to the Dog Whisperer, D is supposed to ignore her and act aloof and she'll come to him. Yeah, no dice. She's glued to me and warming up to Love Bug. Keep your fingers crossed that this works out! On a more positive note, we had a fabulous Thanksgiving, which we hosted at our house. It was a lovely day and so nice not to have to drive. But, we're looking forward to heading home for Christmas and spending some time with our families.
